The panel explored the urgent need for increased power capacity\u2014at larger scales and with faster time-to-compute. <span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Traditionally, data centers have depended on grid-based power, which has been challenged by the speed of power growth from generation to transmission<\/span>. The discussion asked a timely question: Are we at a turning point where newer, onsite energy solutions are ready to take the lead?<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1167\" data-end=\"1391\">Brady contributed Liberty\u2019s perspective on how innovative, scalable power systems can help meet the sector\u2019s evolving demands, particularly as speed, reliability, and sustainability become critical to data center operations.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"207\" data-end=\"472\">A few key points he shared:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"474\" data-end=\"1267\">\n<li data-start=\"474\" data-end=\"643\">\n<p data-start=\"476\" data-end=\"643\">He emphasized his opinion that private industry is likely better equipped to handle the rapidly changing load variability challenges of AI than the traditional grid.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"645\" data-end=\"1008\">\n<p data-start=\"647\" data-end=\"1008\">He noted that the desire for control over power delivery isn\u2019t new. For decades, firms have considered investing in their own power, but the capital cost was often too steep compared to simply paying more for grid power. Today, companies like Liberty\u2014and the colleagues Brady joined on stage\u2014are willing to make those long-term investments on behalf of clients.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1010\" data-end=\"1267\">\n<p data-start=\"1012\" data-end=\"1267\">The panel also discussed the push for more renewable power.
